La Compagnie Traversière offers workshops in puppet construction and puppet manipulation, adapted to all sorts of public.

WORKSHOPS IN PUPPET CONSTRUCTION:

  • Beginners:

Learning how to make a puppet from various recycled materialw: paper, cardbord, foam, , fabric, socks, objects…

– Public: children/adults with or without experience.

– Length: between 6h and 20hentre 6h et 20h, according to the request.

 

  • Advanced:

Learning how to build a human-sized puppet with an hybrid body, and with or without articulated mouth. materials used: clay, foam, thermoplastic.

– Public: adults, preferably with experience in puppetry, theatre, or visual arts.

– Length: min 45h, spread over few weeks, according to the request.

 

WORKSHOP IN PUPPET MANIPULATION:

  • Beginners:

Introduction to the techniques of puppet manipulation, how to give life to an inanimate object. The participants will explore different types of manipulation: marottes, rod, human-sized, object manipulation.

– Public: adolescents/adults with or without experience.

– Length: between 3h and 8h, according to the request.

  • Advanced:

In this workshop, the participants will gain a better knowledge and practice of the precised techniques of manipulation, they will build a scene with puppets.

– Public:  adults, preferably with experience in puppetry or theatre in general.

– Length: between 20h and 35h, spread over 2 or 3 weeks, according to the request.
